Dear RHS Students,
On Thursday, September 10th, students (grades 9-12) in Cohort A will participate in Student Orientation at Rockland High School. On Friday, September 11th, students (grades 9-12) in Cohort B will participate in Student Orientation at Rockland High School. These orientation dates are not considered school days so students are responsible for their own transportation to and from school and there will not be breakfast or lunch provided. Students should eat breakfast prior to coming to school. This event is just for students; not families.
Prior to coming to student orientation:
Please re-check your schedule. Please either print your schedule or have easy access to your schedule on your cell phone. Re-check your schedule as some of the classroom assignments have changed.
Please make sure you know your cohort assignment. Any questions, please call the guidance office and we can look it up.
Arrival to student orientation:
Grade 9 students should arrive through the RHS Main Office entrance.
Grade 10 students should arrive through the RHS East entrance (in between middle and high school).
Grade 11 & 12 students should arrive through the RHS West entrance (by the gym).
Student orientation has three goals:
Provide students an opportunity to learn the new building layout, and practice adhering to the new safety norms. Students will receive safety training during the first period of the school day.
Meet teachers so that they are prepared for the start of the remote learning on September 14th.
Pick-up Chromebook. Students will pick-up Chromebook. Parents need to return Chromebook contract agreements when students return the first day of in-person learning (Cohort A on September 28th and Cohort B on October 5th).

Students should report to A Block at 8 AM. Students should arrive no earlier than 7:45 AM. All students need to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth, remain socially distant from others, be free of COVID-symptoms, and use hand sanitizer and wash hands when entering and leaving the building and classrooms. This is the first time the student body will be together in such a large gathering since mid- March so please remind students of the importance of following these safety protocols.
