Students in Mrs. Camirand and Mrs. Caprio's first grade classes researched an animal at the National Geographic for Kids website. They looked at pictures, read information, and watched videos while recording their research in a graphic organizer. The areas they researched were what the animal looks like, where it lives, what it eats, and how it acts or communicates. Next, they picked out keywords and created a Wordle word cloud. After that, they drew a picture of their animal and picked out another picture using a Google image search. Then, they wrote and recorded a paragraph about their animal. Finally, all of their hard work was put together into a class movie to share with their families and friends. We hope you enjoy it!

"I Am" non-fiction poetry was created by Mrs. Sullivan and Ms. Vlachos' third grade classes at Jefferson Elementary School.
